Describe the task in plain language. The Agent Builder produces a working Orbit agent — system prompt, schedule, tools, MCP connections, and department assignment — that you can edit before it runs.
The Orbit Agent Builder is how you turn a goal into a working agent without writing a system prompt from scratch. You describe what you want done — "watch competitor pricing pages and alert me when something changes," "draft a weekly newsletter from our published posts" — and the Builder drafts the prompt, picks the cadence, suggests the right tools and MCPs, and wires the agent into the right department.
Three paths cover almost every need: spin up a single Orbit for a one-off role, install a whole department (lead, specialists, reports-to wiring, shared project tag) from a template, or import an existing scheduled task you're already running elsewhere. A built-in library of 50 starter agents gives you a head start when you're not sure where to begin. Every agent is editable after creation — the Builder gives you a strong first draft, not a black box.
Describe a function — "run our marketing" — and the Builder installs a department: a lead, specialists, reports-to wiring, and a shared project tag, all reading from the same Orbit Vault.
